the fact that my incoming guests are so low-maitenance that when Damon said, “Um, Jillian doesn’t want to cook any meat for Thanksgiving” my brother-in-law said, “I don’t care if we order pizza.”
I am at the beginning of 11 days off work.
no one I love is sick or struggling to the extent that I am terribly worried.
that someone somewhere is pregnant with our kid (I think).
that Chris Rock is so freaking funny, because his show is cracking us up as I type.
And it wouldn’t be a post from me without: I am definitely NOT thankful for…
Fresh Direct, who was supposed to deliver our Thanksgiving dinner groceries between 3-6 and they’re still not here. Not so handy in getting my prep work done. I’ve had bad luck with them being ultra-late and sending me sub-par produce and it’s my own stupid fault for giving them another chance.

regarding Chris Rock
My Dad called yesterday to tell me that he would tape and send to me Dave Chappelle and Maya Angelou on Sundance Channel’s “Iconoclasts” since I don’t have cable.
And then he said, “I’ll tape it if I can’t find it on YouTube and e-mail it to you first.”
I didn’t even know that my Dad was familiar with Chappelle. But I owe any knowledge of YouTube to my Dad, who discovered it in the time of the “Brokeback Mountain” parodies (he LOVED the film). He is so much hipper than I am.
I have forgotten the point of my reply, but something about your thanks for Chris Rock sparked me…

Re: regarding Chris Rock
I had a hard time getting my head around your comment because I kept thinking, “It couldn’t be on YouTube before it aired. And then if it’s not it will be too late to tape it.” I’m sure I’m just missing a step in logic.
