Damon went downstairs to check on a sleeping Alden. When he walked in, Alden sat up in his little bed and said, “The red ones and the blue ones are coming. They take away little boys.”
Now we are all upstairs and Alden is tucked into my mom’s bed. Because Damon and I are afraid of the red and the blue ones.

No kidding. I’m mystified. I cannot imagine what he saw or heard that put that in his head.
The good news is that it’s now 7am and, while I’m sitting in another room, I can hear Alden complaining at Damon in the bedroom. So apparently the red ones and blue ones were diverted.
But I will say this, earlier I heard two clanks over the baby monitor downstairs. No idea what generated them, but they made the hair on my neck stand up.

Well, they’d best be avoided, then!
