I’d say I have 12 hours before I need to get to bed. And then I’m out of town until Thursday night. Friday morning my Mom and Jerry hit town, and they’ll be here until the following Tuesday.
It’s all good stuff, so I’m not too tense. But I have that rollercoaster feeling, the one where the cars are just about to the top of a big hill.
It’s all metaphorical to me, as I don’t ride rollercoasters. But I’ve watched rollercoasters.
There is a lot I should do today:
1. Get ahead on work, as I won’t have a lot of time for it this coming week.
2. Get the apartment in order for my folks’ visit.
3. Go to the market so they I have groceries for above visit.
4. Pack
So far what I’m doing is burning through my TiVo queue. I’ve gone through three episodes of The Dog Whisperer and now I’m going to move on to The Soup.

Oh, waste time. I’ve needed to put away laundry for three days. Now I need to be taking a shower and getting ready to go play tennis. Instead I am screwing around on the internet.
I am currently reading: When The Air Hits Your Brain by Frank Vertosik, Jr, MD

What does happen when the air hits your brain?

You ain’t never the same. That’s what the book says. Makes sense to me. Your skull is sealed shut pretty good for a reason.

Damn. And I just had a hatch put in behind my ear.

I was going to get one, too, to keep spare change in. I’m sure glad I found this book before I kept the appointment.

Perhaps this will open up a market for safe/lockbox earrings.
They could have combination locks or perhaps tiny, tiny padlocks with tiny, tiny keys.
