Have you ever had a friend who is genuinely distressed over a situation that seems to be largely of his own making? I have a friend who thinks himself a victim of circumstance, and complains to me at length about his misery. The thing is, his circumstances change but his complaints stay the same. And it may just be the pre-launch fatigue talking, but in addition to being the author of his own problems, I think he is also a whiney babyface.

    That made me giggle.
One only has so much energy to devote to the problems other people make for themselves. My limit is about 5 minutes.

  16. No, I don’t know anyone like that.
It’s probably because I’m so miserable and life prevents me from having friends.

  21. I don’t have a whole lot of time for victims of circumstance. If crying’s not getting you anywhere, then dry up and go at it another way.
I am really turning into an old bat.
