You may be thinking: Isn’t she supposed to be in England right now?
Last night there was a huge snarl on the NJ Turnpike that added over an hour to our trip time. We got to the airport about half an hour before the flight, which is half an hour after the deadline for international, and they had already given our seats away.
We’re going to try again today. But now we’re standby and they told me that our flight is already overbooked because of the blizzard earlier this week.
So chances are excellent we’re not going anywhere.
If we don’t, we can get a credit, but Continental charges a $200 change fee PER TICKET. So if we try again (not that I’ll get a 4-day weekend again until Thanksgiving) we’ll have to put out another $400 plus any difference in the ticket price.
There’s no way for me to express my disappointement without sounding hyperbolic, so I’ll just leave it at that.

Boo traffic and Continental.
