Damon said he felt that we hadn’t gotten to see much of each other this past week, so he surprised me by taking the day off yesterday. Which was lovely and unexpected. We went to the farmers’ market, went to brunch with James and Charles, we took a long walk in the park.
Today I’m home alone. I’m camping on the couch in full control of the TiVo and the laptop. I’m eating cake. I’m supposed to go to some amazing market with Charles today, and also to run some errands. But I tend to defend my time alone with some degree of psychosis, so I’ve been putting it off. I say it’s 50/50 that we go later in the afternoon.
But at this moment I’m watching State and Main. I wonder if William H. Macy will be my boyfriend.

State and Main is somewhere in my top ten movies.
I had red velvet cake last night. For some reason there was almond extract in the frosting. It was just wrong, wrong, wrong. I didn’t even finish the piece, I was so aggravated about it.

That’s just… why would someone do that?
State and Main was wonderful, although I felt like Rebecca Pidgeon wasn’t quite with the rest of the cast.

I don’t know why someone would do that. It’s supposed to taste like cream cheese with a little sugar and some vanilla. Had I not been in nice company, I would have spat it out and wiped my tongue off with my napkin.

I like Rebecca Pidgeon a lot, so it’s hard for me to say. I didn’t especially like Heist, so I can’t really say in that one, either.
