I know I’ve been pretty absent as I adjust to my new job. I’m working one week a month in Knoxville and the travel is just that extra little thing that’s putting me over the edge time-wise.
But I had to jump in quickly because I know at least some folks here will understand my delight. I’m working in the Food Network offices while in NY and I’ve just discovered that I can watch a live feed of the network tapings. Many of them happen in this building. So right now I’m watching The Chairman bit apple after apple for the Iron Chef intro. Friday I watched them tape the Thanksgiving Iron Chef episode. I won’t give too much away, but will say that Morimoto did some serious chicken butchery that is definitely not ever going to make it onto TV.
I’ll also say that The Chairman, Alton, and the chefs are, in every instance I’ve seen them, unfailingly good-natured and professional.
