So I’ve spent the last few days catching up on a cultural sensation, several years late as usual. I will argue, though, that this is the best way to watch a series. No commercials, no racing home to catch the next episode or missing it when you get an offer for actual human company. I’m all for deep indulgence, so I love having all the episodes that I can plow through.

I’m enjoying the episodes, I’m watching the last that aired right now. But this set has three that didn’t air, so I’ll watch those next. Their old west dialogue makes me laugh when I buy it and when I don’t. Can anyone tell me if all that cursing that sounds like an Asian language is for real?

I do like a show where I’ve never seen any of the actors before. I can live with the preacher since it’s been a long long time since Barney Miller. I think a good actor can make me forget past roles, but when I’ve never seen any of them before I can just skip that step. I think the doctor is like a thick Crispin Glover. But I’m not holding that against him.

Ooooh, the reveal of the sister in dry ice! Neat!

Damon was here for one day this week, which was lots of fun. It’s the little things that make living with him so fun. I left before he did on Monday, so he’d been alone in the apartment for a few hours. So I walk in after work and into the kitchen. I find the salt container on the counter with the top third sawed off and laying next to it. Right beside it was the bread knife. Why was the top sawed off? Who knows? But I got a kick out of it.
